We've got ambitious goals for the future of our customer intelligence platform and we're looking for an Engineering Manager who will lead and grow the engineering team responsible for developing our next generation next generation AI powered data ingestion and classification platform. What you’ll do Lead our Data Ingestion & AI team. You'll be responsible for the overall performance of the engineering team behind the engine that powers Dovetail’s customer intelligence platform. You'll help build and improve how Dovetail takes millions of customer feedback signals and converts them into actionable insights. Build and develop a high-performing team. You'll manage engineers and future leaders, helping them develop their teams while nurturing a collaborative and high-performing culture. Drive innovation and experimentation. You'll create an environment that encourages calculated risk-taking and rapid iteration to identify and validate new product opportunities that align with our company vision. Bridge product and engineering. You'll work closely with product leadership to translate strategic product initiatives into engineering deliverables, making difficult scoping decisions while maintaining technical excellence. Champion technical quality and scalability. As we develop new products, you'll ensure we build on a solid technical foundation that can scale with our growth, balancing innovation with stability. What you’ll bring You've led engineering teams for new product or platform initiatives. You've experienced the challenges of building and validating new products in the face of ambiguity. You know how to create focus and motivation while building trust in your leadership. Experience managing engineers. You've managed software and AI engineers for 3 years and are comfortable giving and receiving feedback to motivate and steer them to success. You know what good looks like, can confidently identify areas for improvement, provide timely guidance, and motivate them to reach their goals. You've balanced innovation with execution. You understand how to create space for exploration while delivering tangible outcomes. You're experienced in moving products from concept to production, making appropriate trade-offs along the way. Have a strong product development background. You've managed complex technical projects and know how to build products and features from scratch. You've partnered with product management and design leaders to make difficult scoping and design decisions in order to regularly deliver valuable features to customers. You excel at cross-functional collaboration. You've successfully worked across engineering, product, and design to create cohesive product experiences. You're skilled at communicating engineering constraints and opportunities to non-technical stakeholders. You know how to build great software. 8 years of software engineering experience in direct IC or management roles using object-oriented languages. You have a bachelor of computer science or equivalent industry experience, and possess strong knowledge of software engineering fundamentals at-scale.
