ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a Salesforce Communications Cloud Architect to lead the design and delivery of Communications Cloud implementations for telco clients. You'll own the solution architecture, guide delivery teams, and act as the technical authority on Communications Cloud and OmniStudio across complex telco programmes. This is a hands-on architecture role for someone who has taken multiple telco implementations from design through to go-live. WHAT YOU'LL DO Solution Architecture & Design Define the end-to-end Communications Cloud architecture for telco clients Lead design workshops with business and technical stakeholders Translate telco business requirements into scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutions Own the solution blueprint, product catalog model, data model, and integration strategy Design CPQ, Order Management, and Digital Commerce flows for telco use cases Technical Leadership Provide technical governance, including code review oversight and design-pattern standards Guide development teams on OmniStudio, Apex, and LWC best practices Define the DevOps approach: CI/CD pipelines, release management, and environment strategy Drive performance optimisation and scalability planning across the platform Communications Cloud & OmniStudio Architect solutions using OmniStudio (OmniScript, FlexCards, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors) Design the Enterprise Product Catalog (EPC), pricing, and product configuration Build out Industries CPQ, Contract Lifecycle Management, and Order Management Define quote-to-order and order-to-activation flows for telco products Integration & Data Strategy Architect integrations across BSS/OSS using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware (MuleSoft preferred) Apply TM Forum Open API standards where relevant Design data migration strategy and data governance models Define identity management, SSO, and security architecture Stakeholder Management Lead architecture discussions with the client and delivery teams Present technical solutions and trade-off analyses to senior stakeholders Collaborate across business, product, and engineering teams WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Must-Have 12 years of hands-on Salesforce experience Proven delivery of Communications Cloud implementations for telco clients Strong command of OmniStudio across design and build Deep experience with Enterprise Product Catalog, Industries CPQ, and Order Management Strong integration architecture experience across enterprise environments Based in Sydney, Australia Technical Depth OmniStudio (OmniScript, FlexCards, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors) Communications Cloud data model and product modelling Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flow Integration architecture and API-led connectivity patterns Security model design: sharing rules, field-level security, and platform encryption DevOps tooling and CI/CD best practices (e.g. Copado, Gearset, SF CLI) Required Certifications Salesforce Communications Cloud Accredited Professional Salesforce Certified OmniStudio Consultant NICE TO HAVE Prior experience delivering for tier-one telco operators Familiarity with TM Forum APIs and telco BSS/OSS landscapes Background in CPQ-heavy or order-management-heavy programmes Experience with Agile or SAFe delivery frameworks at scale WHAT SETS YOU APART Strong architectural decision-making and the ability to defend trade-offs clearly Comfort navigating ambiguity in large, complex telco programmes Clear documentation and presentation skills Strategic mindset balanced with a bias toward delivery and execution
