About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Generators Outcomes Lead to support the successful delivery of a major renewable energy infrastructure program in New South Wales. This role will act as the primary interface between renewable energy generators and a large-scale government-led energy initiative, ensuring projects progress efficiently through planning, connection, commissioning and operational readiness phases. The position requires a highly experienced professional with strong technical, commercial and stakeholder management capabilities who can coordinate complex activities across multiple project streams while working closely with senior government leaders, infrastructure partners, developers and network stakeholders. The role will play a critical part in improving generator readiness, facilitating grid integration outcomes and supporting the delivery of strategic renewable energy objectives. Position : Generators Outcomes Lead – Contract Location : Sydney CBD Working Arrangement : Office-based with flexibility subject to business requirements Start Date : ASAP Duration : 12 months Key Responsibilities Act as the primary relationship manager for renewable energy generators participating in major infrastructure programs. Coordinate engagement activities between generators, project teams, government stakeholders and delivery partners. Facilitate the exchange of technical, commercial and project information to support informed decision-making. Consolidate stakeholder feedback and provide recommendations to support project outcomes. Support the development and implementation of generator access frameworks and access arrangements. Contribute to tender processes, commercial evaluations and market engagement activities. Assist with the planning and delivery of generator connection assets and associated infrastructure. Review project scopes and provide generator-focused input to infrastructure planning activities. Identify opportunities to improve generator readiness, delivery certainty and commissioning outcomes. Develop and negotiate commercial agreements and collaborative arrangements with project stakeholders. Support regulatory, planning, property and commercial workstreams associated with renewable energy developments. Coordinate activities relating to grid connection, commissioning and operational integration. Monitor project risks and develop mitigation strategies to support successful delivery. Prepare executive briefings, reports, business cases and governance documentation. Engage with senior executives, developers, network operators, consultants and government representatives. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, safety, environmental and governance requirements. Provide strategic advice on renewable energy project delivery, connection pathways and infrastructure planning. Mentor project teams and contribute specialist expertise across multiple concurrent initiatives. About You Minimum 15 years' experience within renewable energy, electricity networks, major infrastructure or related sectors. Demonstrated experience delivering or supporting wind, solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), hydro or other generation projects. Strong understanding of generator connection, commissioning and grid integration processes. Proven experience working on large-scale greenfield infrastructure or energy projects. Experience engaging with executive leadership teams, government stakeholders and private sector partners. Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating agreements and managing complex stakeholder relationships. Sound knowledge of Australian energy market frameworks, regulatory requirements and industry standards. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams within complex matrix environments. Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and stakeholder groups simultaneously. Excellent written communication, report writing and presentation skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes across technical and non-technical audiences. Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Project Management, Energy Systems or a related discipline. Relevant professional memberships or certifications will be highly regarded. Advanced proficiency in project governance, risk management and infrastructure delivery frameworks.
