With a strong focus on service, governance and community impact, the organisation provides critical corporate and operational support functions including finance, payroll, people & culture, and compliance. They are currently looking for a talented Payroll Officer (with MicrOpay experience) to join their friendly and supportive team. Responsibilities Reporting to the Payroll Manager and working within a team of 5, you will be responsible for: End to end processing of monthly payroll (approximately 1000 employees) Maintenance of the payroll system Update and maintain accurate payroll records Liaise with staff and management on payroll related queries Maintain leave, sick and overtime reports Apply awards, agreements and contracts in relation to overtime and shift allowances Reporting to meet internal and statutory obligations Calculate and process termination calculations Process variations, increases and calculation of back pays Preparation and payment of superannuation, workcover and other payroll related deductions Process salary package and liaison with external salary packaging administrators Maintain administrative procedures and systems which enhance the delivery of services Identify opportunities for improving efficiencies, policies, procedures and practices and share these with the payroll team The successful applicant will have Prior experience in a similar end to end Payroll Officer role MicrOpay experience is essential Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills Ability to multi task and work within a fast faced environment Strong numeracy and analytical skills To discuss the role further, please contact Chris at cbelegrinos@sharpandcarter.com.au
