Job details Payroll Officer $90,000 - $100,000 super Monday to Friday role Immediate Start | Mackay About Our Client: Our client is currently seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join a well-established local organisation based in Paget. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate and timely payroll services. What you will be doing: Accurately process payroll within designated timeframes Maintain and update employee records throughout the employment lifecycle Administer employee leave balances, allowances, salary adjustments, and other payroll transactions Provide timely support and advice regarding payroll enquiries Interpret employment conditions, awards, and workplace agreements to ensure correct payments Conduct payroll reconciliations and assist with reporting requirements Ensure payroll activities comply with relevant legislation and internal procedures Identify opportunities to improve payroll systems and streamline processes What you will need: Demonstrated experience working within a payroll or payroll administration role Sound knowledge of payroll legislation, modern awards, and compliance obligations Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and comfortable learning new systems Ability to prioritise workloads and meet strict deadlines in a busy environment Excellent communication skills and a professional approach to stakeholder interactions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently Whats in it for you?
