About the Company and Role Boomerang Rentals Australia is a rapidly growing vehicle rental and fleet services company committed to providing reliable, efficient, and customer-focused transport solutions across Australia. Our business operates and maintains its own fleet of vehicles while also providing repair, diagnostic, and maintenance services for external customers. As our operations continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Electrician to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, lighting systems, battery and charging systems, starter motors, alternators, control modules, sensors, immobilizers, parking sensors, reverse camera systems and installing a wide range of automotive electrical and electronic systems across various vehicle types. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic faults in vehicles. Interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and schematics for accurate work. Repair, replace, and maintain electrical components, including alternators, starter motors, ECUs, and other electronic modules. Program, clone, and flash control modules such as footwell modules and body control modules. Install and maintain aftermarket accessories and electronic systems (e.g., emergency lighting, inverters, dual battery systems, towbars). Use diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify and troubleshoot electrical and electronic malfunctions. Dismantle, remove, and install electrical and electronic assemblies and components. Adjust engine control systems, timing, and vehicle electronics to ensure optimal performance. Test and replace defective alternators, generators, voltage regulators, starter motors, fuses, lamps, switches, and other electrical components. Conduct inspections and testing to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with standards. Collaborate with team members to deliver timely and high-quality vehicle solutions. Duties are not limited to the above and may include additional tasks as required to support fleet operations. About You: Hold a Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (or equivalent) Minimum 1-year relevant experience Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Experience with European vehicles preferred Ability to work independently Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
