Full-time Carpenter position available in Belmore NSW 2192 Forward Facilities Group (FFG) is a rapidly expanding facilities maintenance and asset management company headquartered in Sydney, delivering high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective building and maintenance solutions across the residential, commercial, industrial, and government sectors. The company primarily partners with government agencies, commercial clients, and strata asset managers, with a strong focus on social and community housing. FFG provides responsive repair services, ongoing maintenance, and building renovation solutions tailored to the operational and compliance needs of diverse property portfolios. On behalf of FFG, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join their team and contribute for their ongoing success. Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Reading and interpreting architectural drawings, work orders, maintenance scopes, and technical specifications for repair, refurbishment, and asset improvement projects. Carrying out skilled carpentry works across government, strata, commercial, and community housing properties. Constructing, repairing, and installing timber frameworks, flooring systems, partitions, doors, windows, cabinetry, cladding, and other structural and non-structural building components. Undertaking refurbishment, remedial, and maintenance works to ensure the safety, functionality, and presentation of client assets. Performing framing, subfloor installation, wall and ceiling linings, fit-out works, and minor structural alterations in accordance with project specifications. Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling timber and other construction materials using hand and power tools. Conducting site preparation, demolition, and layout works for maintenance and renovation projects across multiple client sites. Inspecting existing structures, identifying defects or maintenance issues, and carrying out repairs as required. Ensuring all works are completed in compliance with Australian building codes, WHS legislation, and company quality standards. Liaising with supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure efficient project delivery and timely completion of works. Maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe, clean, and organised manner. Qualifications and Skills: Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification. At least 1 year of proven work experience in residential or commercial carpentry. Strong ability to read and interpret plans and technical documents. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations. Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical stamina and strength for manual labour. Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $77,000 - $100,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
