About the Role This is a leadership role focused on bringing together engineering, drafting, and project delivery teams to create alignment, structure, and a clear direction for the future. Based in Perth, you will lead a mechanical engineering function, working closely with senior leadership, project teams, estimators, and delivery teams to improve processes, support technical excellence, and ensure projects are delivered successfully. This opportunity would suit a Senior Mechanical Engineer, Engineering Team Leader, Operations Manager, or experienced Project Manager from a mechanical services background who enjoys leading people, improving performance, and driving better outcomes. What You'll Be Doing You will: • Lead and develop the mechanical engineering and drafting teams, creating clarity, accountability, and a high-performance culture. • Provide technical leadership across commercial HVAC projects, supporting design, delivery, and project outcomes. • Review engineering solutions, consultant designs, and specifications to ensure quality, compliance, and commercial outcomes. • Work closely with Project Managers, Estimators, and senior leadership to improve collaboration between design and construction teams. • Provide guidance on technical challenges, design solutions, and project requirements. • Support tender submissions, design development, and value engineering opportunities. • Establish processes and direction to improve engineering capability and team performance. • Mentor and develop engineers and designers, building a stronger internal capability. About You You are a natural leader with a strong mechanical services background and the ability to bring people together around a common goal. You may come from an engineering, operations, or project delivery background and will bring: • Proven leadership experience managing or mentoring engineering, drafting, project, or technical teams. • Strong mechanical services experience within commercial construction or building services. • Experience delivering or supporting large-scale commercial projects. • The ability to influence stakeholders and create alignment across multiple teams. • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into practical outcomes. • A background as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, Engineering Manager, Construction Manager, Project Manager, or similar. • A mechanical engineering qualification, trade background, or equivalent industry experience.
