You will be responsible for: Advising on a wide variety of advisory, contentious and strategic workplace matters, including in employment law, discrimination law and whistleblowing Preparing documents for and attending proceedings in the Fair Work Commission and the Australian Human Rights Commission Drafting Federal Court and Federal Circuit Court documents, including affidavits, concise statements, witness statements, and interlocutory applications Working with and instruct counsel for matters running to the Federal Court and Federal Circuit Court Providing day-to-day advice for employer clients, many of whom are international businesses Advising high net worth clients regarding their employment law issues Drafting letters of demands, without prejudice letters, and other related legal documents Conducting legal research into the latest updates in employment and discrimination law Work with media and PR consultants on high-profile matters The ideal candidate: 1-6 years PQE in employment, workplace or industrial law, or a related field Strong litigation experience is highly desirable Confident and able to communicate with clients Wants ownership of their work and advice Interested in developing their career in employment law We also welcome any applications from aspiring litigators who are looking to get real experience in courts and tribunals or from any junior lawyers who want to shift into employment law.
