The Role The Head of Marketing and Digital Experience plays a pivotal role in shaping and delivering NGS Super’s marketing, communications and digital strategy, aligned to the Fund’s broader business and member objectives. Leading a high-performing team across Brand and Acquisition, Engagement and Retention, and Digital Experience, this role sets the strategic direction, drives performance, and creates a strong operating rhythm that supports growth, engagement and positive member outcomes. Working closely with leaders across the Member business, this role is instrumental in connecting strategy to execution—ensuring marketing and digital initiatives are aligned to business priorities and truly member-first. A key focus is leading the next phase of marketing and digital transformation, enhancing digital, content and automation capabilities in partnership with Technology. With a passion for creativity, innovation and member impact, you will elevate the NGS brand, strengthen connections with members and employers, and help position NGS Super as the fund of choice for retirement success. What you’ll do Lead the Marketing and Digital Experience strategy aligned to the Fund’s business and member objectives. Set direction and priorities across Brand & Acquisition, Engagement & Retention, and Digital Experience. Translate strategy into clear plans, KPIs, budgets and team accountability. Provide strategic, commercially sound advice to senior leadership and Board stakeholders. Build and execute brand and acquisition strategies to drive growth and awareness. Lead development and activation of the Fund’s value proposition and key campaigns. Drive integrated, multi-channel acquisition initiatives across paid, owned and earned channels. Oversee member and employer engagement, retention and lifecycle communications. Ensure communications are clear, compliant, relevant and member-focused. Lead the performance and optimisation of digital channels, including web, SEO, UX and marketing automation. Embed a strong performance culture using data, insights and analytics to drive outcomes. Manage budgets, agencies and partners to deliver measurable impact and value. Lead, coach and develop the Marketing and Digital Experience leadership team. About you A purpose driven leader with a growth mindset, you will bring the following key skills: 15 years’ experience in marketing, brand, communications or digital, with senior leadership experience. Proven track record leading multi-disciplinary teams across marketing, digital, content and campaigns. Strong experience delivering strategies that drive growth, engagement, retention and digital outcomes. Expertise in brand, proposition development and go-to-market execution. Deep understanding of digital experience, including UX, content, automation, analytics and optimisation. Experience with modern marketing platforms (e.g. Adobe, Salesforce, HubSpot). Strong customer/member focus, ideally within a regulated or competitive environment. Commercially astute, strategic thinker who challenges the status quo. Data-driven approach to decision-making, performance tracking and executive reporting. Experience leveraging AI, automation and new ways of working to improve efficiency. Proven ability to manage budgets, agencies and suppliers to deliver measurable value. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with strong governance and compliance awareness. Nice to have but not essential: Experience in Superannuation at a senior level. RG146 compliant.
