About the Job There is an exciting opportunity with the Waste Facility for a General Hand. To assist with providing an efficient and effective recycling operation and customer experience at Council’s Wylie Bay Waste Management Facility. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Sorting of recyclables placed at recycling facility to set standard and classification, including removal of unsuitable materials and unscheduled recyclables prior to placement. Maintain general cleanliness of workplace including recycling conveyor, shed and surrounds. Assist in customer service and advising patrons in correct disposal of waste materials within Landfill Site as directed by the Waste Management Supervisor. This is a Casual position, rostered hours may be varied and spread over the Wylie Bay Waste Management Facility operating hours. Efficient and tidy work ethic with good time management skills Benefits Hourly Rate : $36.80 Permanent staff are entitled to: 5 weeks annual leave per year The option of one Rostered Day Off (RDO) every 4 weeks in exchange for working 40 hours per week.
