About the Job There is an exciting opportunity with the Finance Department for a Senior Finance Officer - Accounts Payable. This position is responsible for the effective day-to-day management of the Accounts Payable (AP) in line with Shire policy and Local Government Regulations ensuring accurate maintenance of the Financial Management systems, the preparation of monthly reconciliations, appropriate accrual entries, and the management of corporate credit cards. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Leads and carries out the day-to-day functions of Accounts Payable, ensuring the efficient processing of AP transactions and timely creditor payments in line with Shire policies. Quality control of financial data inputting of AP, ensuring a high level of accuracy and all processes have complied with the appropriate delegations, policies, GST requirements and coding. Assists with the raising and processing of purchase orders where required. This is a Permanent Full Time, working 38 hours per week. About you In order to succeed and thrive in this position, you must have: Relevant experience in an accounts payable processes and procedures. Experience and knowledge in using financial systems. Proven experience using the MS Office suite with intermediate proficiency in excel. Benefits Salary : $76,351.00 per annum Permanent staff are entitled to: 5 weeks annual leave per year The option of one Rostered Day Off (RDO) every 4 weeks in exchange for working 40 hours per week.
