About the Branch The Student Transport and Allowances Branch is responsible for the: Students with Disabilities Transport Program Conveyance Allowance Program School Bus Program, including the state-wide roll out of centralised coordination of the program through the Student Travel System (STS) Buses and Vehicles - Owned or Hired by a School Policies Development and implementation of reform and improvement for all programs consistent with government priorities and budget responsibilities About the Role An exciting opportunity exists to join the Student Transport and Allowances Branch in a 12 month fixed-term position (parental leave coverage) as a Senior Service Delivery Advisor, Conveyance Allowance Program. The Conveyance Allowance Program provides transport assistance to approximately 40,000 students attending government and non-government Victorian Schools. The purpose of this role is to manage the delivery of the Conveyance Allowance Program within the Student Transport and Allowances Branch. The role is responsible for the day-to-day operation and coordination of the Conveyance Allowance Program. This program provides financial payments to students attending schools located in rural and regional Victoria to support travel to and from school. The Senior Service Delivery Advisor is responsible for: Operational responsibility for the Conveyance Allowance Program, utilising the web-based Student Conveyance Allowance System(SCAS); Provide effective customer management to stakeholders, which includes; schools, families, and external agencies relevant to the program area; Provide oversight of the program to ensure that payments are delivered accurately and in a timely manner to schools and families; Be an effective communicator to ensure programs are delivered, business plans and budgetary requirements are met; Provide high-quality program advice and reporting to management Attributes Your capacity for collaboration, driving continuous improvement, and cultivating genuine relationships with the team and external stakeholders will be pivotal for your success in this role. Support achievement of outcomes by anticipating and resolving issues. Establish and implement actions to increase level of people engagement.
