Job description Temporary Controls Technician Duration: 6 Months Salary: G5 HSU pay scale (depending on experience) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Controls Technician to join our team on a temporary basis, supporting operations in a Hospital setting. This role is responsible for assisting with the maintenance, monitoring, and optimisation of building control systems, with a strong focus on Building Management Systems (BMS), security systems, and CCTV infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Assist with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities across Building Management Systems Support fault finding and rectification across: Honeywell Security Systems Schneider Electric BMS (large, complex environment) DVL CCTV systems Monitor and maintain mechanical and electrical system controls Support the management of maintenance contracts for Honeywell, Schneider Electric, and DVL systems Attend meetings with stakeholders, contractors, and vendors Review reports, quotations, and service outputs as required Provide technical support to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably To be successful in this role, you will have: Experience working with Building Management Systems (BMS) and control systems Hands-on experience with one or more of: Honeywell systems Schneider Electric BMS CCTV systems (DVL or similar) Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding capability Experience supporting planned maintenance programs (PPM) Ability to liaise with contractors and manage external service providers Strong communication skills and ability to participate in meetings and reviews Desirable Experience in a hospital, healthcare, or complex facilities environment Electrical or mechanical trade qualification (or equivalent experience) Applicants new to DFP may be asked to provide additional information including work rights status via a survey link – if requested, we ask that you provide this information in order to expedite your application.
