Job description Project Manager (AO6) About the Opportunity We are partnering with a government client to recruit an experienced Project Manager (AO6) based in Rockhampton. This is a pivotal leadership role supporting the delivery of project management consulting services and contributing to the growth and sustainability of Queensland’s building and construction industry. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end building projects, including pre-design, design, documentation, contract administration, and post-construction Coordinate project teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives Deliver projects in line with scope, time, cost, quality, and cash-flow requirements Oversee contract administration across traditional and non-traditional contract systems Engage with clients daily to ensure expectations are met and outcomes achieved Lead negotiations with stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to deliver value-for-money solutions Monitor and control project performance, including reporting on time and cost variances Conduct project audits and ensure quality assurance standards are maintained Support fee determination, client billing processes, and financial performance targets About You Proven experience managing building or construction projects end-to-end Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in a deadline-driven environment High-level communication and negotiation skills Strong commercial acumen and attention to quality Highly Regarded Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, Town Planning, Quantity Surveying) Please apply ASAP or ring Jacqui 32392500 scr-jacqui-isted Applicants new to DFP may be asked to provide additional information including work rights status via a survey link – if requested, we ask that you provide this information in order to expedite your application.
