An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Business Development Manager to partner with senior leaders across our Arbitration, Investigations & Inquiries , and Responsible Business & ESG practice groups. This role sits at the heart of strategic growth, working closely with Practice Group Leaders and Partners to drive market positioning, client development and revenue‑generating initiatives. The opportunity In this highly visible role, you will act as a trusted advisor to Partners and Practice Group Leaders, helping shape the direction, focus and growth priorities of the practice groups. You will lead and deliver business development initiatives, support key client relationships, and play a pivotal role in positioning the practices both internally and externally. You will also support at least one client within the firm’s Key Client Program, helping identify and unlock new growth opportunities through insight‑driven client engagement. About the practice groups Arbitration – Acting on complex, high‑value and often politically sensitive commercial, investor‑state and inter‑state arbitration matters, frequently with a cross‑border dimension. Investigations & Inquiries – Advising clients on significant regulatory investigations, enforcement actions and public inquiries. Responsible Business & ESG – Supporting organisations to identify, assess and respond to ESG risks and opportunities in an evolving regulatory and commercial landscape. Key responsibilities You will contribute to the firm’s growth, profile and client success by: Building strong, influential relationships with Practice Group Leaders and Partners to drive action and outcomes Identifying and prioritising practice, client and market opportunities, and developing targeted pursuit and profiling strategies “Joining the dots” across practices, clients and the wider firm to enable collaborative, cross‑practice growth Coaching and preparing Partners for pitches, tenders and beauty parades, including articulation of compelling value propositions Leading strategic bids and tenders, ensuring strong pre‑positioning and execution Supporting key client teams to identify, pursue and convert growth opportunities Providing Partners with client insight to inform revenue generation and relationship development Sharing market, sector and client intelligence, including insights gained through client listening Championing a culture of collaboration, pro-activity and continuous improvement. About you You are a commercially minded Business Development professional who is confident operating in a senior, stakeholder‑rich environment. You bring a strategic mindset, strong execution capability and a collaborative approach. You will ideally have: Proven experience in strategic and tactical business development and client experience Strong project management and facilitation skills Exceptional written and verbal communication skills The ability to influence and build credibility with senior stakeholders Knowledge of sales theory, strategy and tender management A proactive, continuous‑improvement mindset A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in building high‑performing teams.
