About the Role We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded State Sales Manager to lead and grow our sales presence within the state while driving alignment with Tongue & Groove's national strategy and luxury brand standards. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing the state sales strategy, leading a high-performing sales team, and delivering sustainable revenue growth. As the leader of a satellite office, you will play a critical role in fostering a "one company, one team" culture, ensuring strong collaboration across departments while maintaining a premium client experience from initial engagement through to project completion. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the annual state sales plan in alignment with national business objectives and growth strategies. Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs. Drive a disciplined sales culture through regular pipeline reviews, forecasting, account planning, and opportunity management. Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers, builders, and key industry stakeholders. Represent the brand at industry events, networking functions, and client engagements. Ensure all client interactions reflect the premium standards and luxury experience synonymous with Tongue & Groove. Collaborate closely with Operations, Marketing, Logistics, Sales Support, and Head Office teams to deliver seamless business outcomes. Recruit, develop, and retain top sales talent while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Monitor state sales performance, profitability, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making. Drive CRM excellence, ensuring Salesforce is maintained as the single source of truth for pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting. Lead local showroom activations, product launches, and market initiatives in alignment with national brand priorities. Promote strong operational alignment between sales commitments and project delivery capabilities. Job Requirements Proven success in leading high-performing sales teams and delivering strong commercial results. Experience managing a remote or satellite office while maintaining alignment with broader business strategy and culture. Strong understanding of specification sales and the construction industry lifecycle. Established network within the Architecture & Design (A&D), construction, or building sectors. Demonstrated ability to recruit, coach, and develop sales professionals. Strong commercial acumen with experience managing sales budgets, forecasting, and performance metrics. Experience working with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills. Understanding of luxury brands and the delivery of premium customer experiences. High levels of professionalism, emotional intelligence, and leadership capability.
