Proudly Australian since 1920,all of their steel products remain 100% Australian made with international quality assurance and compliance with Australian standards. They are currently seeking Production Machine Operators, to join their team out of their Hemmant site. Successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment medical & drug and alcohol screening prior to commencing. What You Will Be Doing As a Production Machine Operator you will be responsible for the below duties; Operating steel processing machinery such as Off Core, Bending and Cutting machines Setting up, adjusting and monitoring machines Loading raw steel materials into machinery and production lines Measuring, inspecting and verifying steel products using measuring equipment and gauges Interpreting production orders, drawings and work instructions Safely operating overhead gantry cranes and forklifts (where licensed and required) Day Shift? Hours : 5am 1pm (Monday to Friday) Rate : $40.58/hour with penalties Afternoon Shift? ? Hours : 1pm 9pm (Monday to Friday) Rate : $40.58/hour with penalties $6.09/hour afternoon shift allowance ? What You Will Need ? Previous experience operating machinery within a manufacturing, production, steel, or industrial environment Ability to read and interpret production schedules, work instructions and technical drawings Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment. Forklift or Gantry ticket (highly desirable) Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical Drug & Alcohol Screen Whats in it for you?
