They are now seeking a skilled Draftsperson to join their team and play a key role in bringing high-quality residential designs to life. What you’ll be doing: Collaborate closely with the administration team to ensure client homes align with pre-construction requirements and expectations. Prepare preliminary, planning, working and prestart drawings to support contract documentation. Ensure all documentation complies with NCC requirements, R-Codes, local shire policies and developer covenants for successful shire submissions. Implement amendments to working drawings in line with approved variation orders. Raise drafting clarifications to address design feasibility, compliance and shire feedback. Liaise with engineers, energy assessors and surveyors to ensure all information is accurate, compliant and delivered on time. What you’ll need: Minimum 2 years’ experience within residential construction or building drafting. Certificate IV in Residential Building Drafting (or equivalent qualification). Proficient in Archicad with the ability to produce accurate, build-ready documentation. High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and consistency. Solid working knowledge of the NCC, Residential Design Codes and relevant Australian Standards. Ability to interpret DAPs, LDPs and structural engineering documentation. Strong understanding of residential construction methods and building principles. Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to overcome design and compliance challenges. Demonstrated experience producing working drawings and contract documentation. Capable of working autonomously while managing deadlines and priorities.
