About The Role As an IDS Officer (Information & Digital Services), you'll provide Level 1 IT support across election hubs, early voting centres, mobile voting locations and election day venues. You'll be the first point of contact for technical issues, ensuring systems remain operational during key election periods. This will include helpdesk support and on-site field work, supporting: Laptops, printers and networks User accounts and Windows environments The Electronic Roll Mark Off (ERMO) system What's in It for You Be part of a high-impact state election Gain hands-on experience in large-scale IT operations Work within a diverse and inclusive team environment Key Responsibilities Provide Level 1 IT support via phone, email, and ticketing systems Log, triage, and resolve incidents within service standards Troubleshoot user access, Windows environments, printers, and network issues Deploy, configure, and test IT equipment across multiple sites Support ERMO setup, synchronisation, and return processes Stage, update, and distribute devices across locations Maintain accurate asset tracking and documentation Escalate issues based on priority and collaborate with broader teams About You Experience in Level 1 IT support Confident with Microsoft Office, Teams and general PC systems Able to prioritise and stay organised under pressure Strong communicator who can support non-technical users Experience with device deployment, asset tracking or networking (desirable) Requirements Current Australian driver's licence and access to a vehicle Willingness to travel across various locations Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light manual handling Willing to obtain a National Police Check What Will Set You Apart You're a clear, confident communicator Calm, adaptable and solution-focused under pressure Professional, reliable and able to work in a politically neutral environment Strong team player who can handle sensitive and confidential information Important to Know Employment is subject to: National Police Check Right to work verification Political disclosure and confidentiality requirements Please note: Working hours may change at short notice to meet operational needs.
