About The Business Locate in Melbourne, a local accounting firm is seeking an full-time experienced accountant to join our team. We specializes in the provision of accounting, taxation and related services to the business sector. Our accounts include a diverse range of clients in private industry, health care, agriculture, property & housing developments, agri-business and tax-exempt organizations. About the role Duties/Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for: Preparing, examining and analyzing accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports. Preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other statutory and management reports. Preparing specialised financial reports by collecting, analysing and summarising accounting information and trends to support internal decision-making. Calculating taxes payable and preparing and lodging tax returns in accordance with Australian taxation requirements. Analysing business operations, financial trends, costs, revenues, commitments and obligations. Maintaining effective accounting controls and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Providing financial advice and support to management as required. Benefits and perks An attractive remuneration package ($75,000 - $100,000) will be rewarded to the right candidate depends on experiences.
