A leading global logistics provider with a strong reputation in end-to-end supply chain solutions is seeking an experienced Freight Coordinator to join its Sydney operations team. With a strong footprint across Australian retail imports and a diverse global customer base, the business manages complex international freight movements across multiple industries including retail, technology, healthcare, manufacturing, and energy. This is a fast-paced operational environment where accuracy, coordination, and customer service excellence are critical to success. The Role This position is responsible for the end-to-end coordination of ocean freight import shipments , ensuring smooth delivery execution from arrival through to final delivery. You will work closely with carriers, cartage providers, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure shipments are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and cost-effectively. Key Responsibilities Coordinate sea freight import deliveries and dehire activities Manage cartage providers daily to ensure KPI and service level adherence Arrange delivery order release and coordinate carrier payments Act as a key point of contact for customers regarding delivery requirements and issue resolution Monitor and action Customs, AQIS, and DAFF requirements Coordinate interstate freight movements and delivery scheduling Identify opportunities to reduce transport costs, storage delays, and inefficiencies Ensure all shipment documentation is completed accurately and in line with SOPs Proactively track shipments and resolve operational issues as they arise Requirements Minimum 3 years' experience in ocean freight / international freight forwarding Strong understanding of import freight operations and end-to-end shipment lifecycle Experience coordinating cartage providers and transport schedules CargoWise or similar freight system experience highly regarded Strong communication skills with the ability to manage customer relationships effectively Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment Proactive problem solver with a strong focus on outcomes and service delivery Full unrestricted Australian working rights (minimum 5 years) What's on Offer Opportunity to join a well-established global logistics organisation Exposure to high-volume, complex international freight operations Genuine career development and internal progression opportunities Supportive and collaborative team environment A dynamic role where no two days are the same Hybrid Working arrangements Ample Parking Salary Up to $95K Super If this sounds like the opportunity you have been waiting for, apply now or reach out to Amy Amopiu on 0468 945 288 for a confidential discussion.
