Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Stores & Procurement Coordinator to oversee procurement, inventory management, logistics coordination, and stores operations. Reporting to the Procurement Manager and working closely with the Marine Engineering Business Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring materials, equipment, and resources are procured, managed, and delivered efficiently to support ongoing operations and project requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage the receipt, inspection, storage, and dispatch of incoming and outgoing goods. Safely load and unload trucks using forklifts and other approved equipment. Maintain a safe, organised, and compliant yard and hardstand area. Coordinate freight, transport, and logistics activities to ensure timely delivery of materials to site. Raise purchase orders and manage stock replenishment to maintain inventory levels. Coordinate supplier collections and deliveries. Maintain accurate inventory records and stock control processes. Obtain supplier quotations, negotiate pricing where appropriate, and manage supplier relationships. Work collaboratively with the Procurement Manager and Marine Engineering Business Manager to support operational objectives. Conduct stocktakes, inventory audits, and reporting activities. Identify opportunities to improve procurement, stores, and logistics processes. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and operational requirements. About You The successful candidate will bring: Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, stores, inventory management, or logistics within mining, engineering, heavy industry, manufacturing, marine, or equipment services sectors. Strong understanding of supply chain operations and freight coordination. Experience using ERP, procurement, or inventory management systems. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong organisational abilities with a high level of attention to detail. A proactive approach and the ability to work autonomously while supporting broader business objectives. Essential Requirements Current LF Forklift Licence. Current White Card. Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence. Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Screen. Current National Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain one.
