Due to continued growth within their water infrastructure division, they are seeking a Principal or Associate Civil Engineer to provide technical leadership across a growing portfolio of water and wastewater projects. The Role This is a senior technical leadership opportunity suited to an experienced Civil Engineer with extensive experience delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in guiding project delivery, reviewing designs, mentoring engineers and providing technical direction across the wider team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being the technical expert within a business and is comfortable providing leadership, making engineering decisions and defending design outcomes with clients and stakeholders. While client interaction is an important part of the role, the focus is on technical leadership rather than business development. The Responsibilities Lead the civil design of water and wastewater treatment facilities Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers and designers Oversee design reviews, technical risk and project delivery Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical and process disciplines Ensure compliance with relevant standards and client requirements Support the growth and capability of the water infrastructure team The Requirements Approximately 10 years of consulting experience within the Australian engineering market Strong understanding of civil design principles relating to treatment plants, pump stations and associated water infrastructure. Proven ability to provide technical leadership and design guidance across multidisciplinary teams. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience coordinating internal teams and being involved in external coordination Full Australian working rights.
