Site Engineer – Contract Role (3 Months) | Tier 2 Builder | Sydney CBD | Immediate Start About the Company Our client is a highly respected Tier 2 commercial builder currently delivering a large-scale residential development in Sydney CBD. Due to project demands and the need to assist with project completion, they are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join the team on an initial 3-month contract with an immediate start available. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a landmark residential project alongside an experienced project team and contribute to the successful delivery of the final stages of construction. The Role Reporting to the Project Manager and Senior Site Team, you will be responsible for coordinating site activities, managing subcontractors, ensuring quality compliance, and assisting with the successful completion and handover of the project. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and monitor daily construction activities on site Assist with programming and short-term project planning Manage subcontractor activities and ensure works are delivered to programme Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks Prepare and maintain Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and standards Monitor project progress and report on key milestones Coordinate RFIs, technical queries, and design documentation Assist with defect management and close-out activities Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders Ensure WHS requirements and site safety standards are maintained Support project handover and completion documentation Skills & Experience Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline Minimum 3 years' experience working as a Site Engineer on building projects Previous experience on large-scale residential or mixed-use developments Strong understanding of construction methodologies and site operations Experience working for Tier 1, Tier 2, or reputable commercial builders Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Proficient with construction management systems and project reporting tools Available to commence immediately or at short notice What's On Offer Immediate start available Initial 3-month contract Opportunity to work with a leading Tier 2 builder Sydney CBD location Competitive hourly or daily rate High-profile residential project Supportive and experienced project team If you have proven Site Engineering experience on major residential projects and are available to start immediately, we'd love to hear from you.
