MYOHMY Cafe is a busy café located at The Sheds in Brendale, QLD 4500, offering breakfast, brunch, lunch, coffee, beverages and fresh café-style meals. We are looking for a reliable and experienced kitchen professional who can work confidently in a fast-paced café environment and support the smooth daily operation of the kitchen. The successful applicant will assist with food preparation, cooking, service, food quality, stock control and general kitchen duties. Key responsibilities Prepare and cook breakfast, brunch, lunch and café menu items Assist with daily food preparation and kitchen service Maintain consistent food quality, presentation and portion control Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures Assist with stock rotation, ordering, storage and wastage control Maintain a clean, organised and service-ready kitchen Work closely with the café manager and front-of-house team Assist with menu ideas, specials and kitchen improvements when required Support junior kitchen staff and kitchen hands during busy periods Skills and experience required Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen Experience in café, breakfast, brunch or casual dining operations preferred Ability to work effectively under pressure during busy service periods Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards Ability to follow recipes, kitchen procedures and workplace standards Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team Good communication and time management skills A relevant commercial cookery qualification is preferred; applicants with strong practical kitchen experience will also be considered.
