Due to increased client demand, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their high-performing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a public practice accountant looking to step into a client-facing role with strong technical exposure, advisory involvement, and clear long-term career progression. The role offers a balanced mix of compliance and advisory work, working closely with Managers and Partners across a diverse portfolio of SME and business clients. Key Responsibilities Preparation of financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals Preparation of income tax returns across a varied client portfolio Completion of BAS and IAS obligations Supporting tax planning and advisory engagements Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact Liaising directly with clients on accounting and taxation matters Working closely with Managers and Partners on client advisory work Supporting junior team members where required About You Minimum 3 years’ experience in Australian public practice accounting CA/CPA qualified or currently completing studies Strong technical knowledge in tax and business services Experience using Xero or similar cloud accounting platforms Strong communication and client relationship skills Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities Professional, proactive, and detail-oriented approach Benefits Join a BRW Top 100 firm with strong market reputation Exposure to advisory work and complex SME clients Clear and structured career progression pathway Strong mentoring from experienced Managers and Partners Flexible working arrangements Collaborative and social team culture Ongoing training and professional development support
