Overview: Baihn Construction is a licensed business in the building and construction industry throughout Brisbane and the Gold Coast. In this role, the Carpenter focus will be responsible for reading, interpreting drawings, measuring materials, constructing, repairing, and maintaining frameworks and fixtures. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and durability of our projects. This position is a full-time position based in QLD. Main tasks: - Liaising with stakeholders to comprehend and relay information as it pertains to client specifications and needs. - Studying architectural and structural plans in assessing requisite installation plans and materials. - Cutting and assembling materials to conform with layouts. - Erecting frameworks with accuracy to ensure structural integrity and aesthetics in accordance with client specifications. - Properly maintain and store tools and equipment. - Adhere to safety guidelines and precautions to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment. - Always represent the company in a professional and polite manner. - Use hand tools, e.g. hammers, chisels, hand saws, screwdrivers, measuring tapes, etc. - Use power tools, e.g. electric/battery drills, power saws, routers, sanders, planners, etc. - Operate workshop equipment, e.g. static machines, band saws, docking saws, thicknessers, etc. Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience: - Carpentry qualification. - A minimum 3 years’ industry experience. - Must hold white card. Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge: - Good all-around knowledge of carpentry and joinery with particular knowledge of framing and structural installations. - Excellent ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans. - Ability to organise and coordinate the works of other trades on site. - A proven record of completing carpentry projects on time and on budget to a high standard. - A keen eye for detail to ensure precision in measurements, cuts, and overall craftsmanship. - Collaboration and teamwork skills.
