Our client is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Typist to join their busy medical practice. This is a temporary position, ideal for someone with strong medical terminology knowledge and excellent typing skills who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. What you’ll be doing: Transcribing dictated audio files into accurate medical letters and clinical reports Editing and proofreading documents to ensure correct spelling, grammar, and use of medical terminology (e.g., IVF, ICSI, OHSS, AMH, HyCoSy, Hysterosalpingogram, azoospermia) Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with privacy laws and legislation Managing and updating electronic and paper-based patient records using systems such as Genie Liaising with clinicians, nurses, and administrative staff to clarify dictation, verify patient details, and resolve discrepancies Managing a high volume of audio transcripts, prioritising tasks, and ensuring timely distribution of letters to patients, GPs, and external specialists What you’ll need: Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology Fast and accurate typing skills (60–80 words per minute) Exceptional attention to detail, grammar, and spelling Previous experience in a medical transcription or healthcare administrative role Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset What’s in it for you: Opportunity to gain hands-on experience in medical transcription, enhancing your knowledge of medical terminology and procedures Exposure to various clinical reports and correspondence, strengthening your proofreading and document management skills The chance to work closely with an experienced healthcare team, building practical skills that are transferable to other medical administration roles Improve efficiency in handling high-volume transcription work, boosting your professional experience How to apply: To apply for this position, please click the "APPLY" button.
