Why You'll Love This Role ✔ 9-Day Fortnight - Enjoy a long weekend every second week ✔ Ongoing, stable work with consistent hours ✔ From $33 per hour Super ✔ Opportunity to work across a variety of council projects ✔ Potential pathway into permanent council employment The Role This is a hands-on position that combines both driving and labouring duties, with approximately: 70% Labouring 30% Driving You'll be working across a range of council operations including: Civil construction and road maintenance Stormwater and drainage works Line marking and signage installation Parks and open space maintenance General infrastructure projects Successful applicants may be based from any of Tweed Shire Council's major depots located at: Tweed Heads West Murwillumbah Cabarita Beach About You To be considered, you will have: Current MR or HR Driver Licence (essential) Construction White Card (essential) Previous labouring experience, preferably within civil, construction, landscaping or council environments Strong work ethic and willingness to get out of the truck and assist on the ground Good level of physical fitness Reliable transport and ability to commence ASAP Council or civil construction experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
