As a stonemason at Zeuxis Repairs Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for repairing, restoring, shaping, finishing and installing stone surfaces and architectural stone elements. This position requires strong craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to achieve high-quality finishes that meet client expectations. Responsibilities and Tasks: Study drawings, specifications and work orders to determine stone requirements, dimensions and installation methods. Select, measure and mark natural and engineered stone materials for cutting, shaping and finishing. Cut, dress, shape and polish stone using hand tools, power tools and specialised stone working machinery. Repair, restore and refinish damaged stone surfaces, benchtops, wall cladding and architectural stone features. Match colours, textures and finishes to achieve seamless restoration outcomes for clients. Lay, position and secure stone materials in accordance with project specifications and quality standards. Carry out edge profiling, honing, polishing and sealing of stone surfaces to achieve required finishes. Inspect completed stonework to ensure compliance with design specifications and workmanship standards. Maintain, clean and safely operate stone cutting, grinding, polishing and shaping equipment. Collaborate with project teams and clients to deliver stone restoration and repair projects within required timeframes. Follow workplace health and safety procedures relating to stone fabrication, installation and restoration activities. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualification. Minimum 1 year experience as a Stonemason. Demonstrated knowledge of stone cutting, shaping, dressing, polishing and restoration techniques. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and measurements accurately. Experience operating stone fabrication, cutting, grinding and polishing equipment safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail with the ability to achieve high-quality finishes and precise workmanship. Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements relating to stone fabrication, installation and restoration activities. Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $80,000 - $90,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
