As the business continues to grow and evolve, we are looking to appoint a high-calibre Senior Accountant / Finance Business Partner into a broad and commercially relevant role spanning financial reporting, compliance, business partnering, analysis and process improvement. Reporting directly to the GM Finance, this is an opportunity for an ambitious and capable finance professional to step into a role with genuine visibility, influence and variety. You will take ownership of core month-end, reporting, compliance and balance sheet responsibilities while also partnering closely with operational stakeholders to provide practical financial insight, support better decision-making and help strengthen performance across a complex and growing care environment. You will be comfortable analysing large and complex data sets, identifying trends, risks and improvement opportunities, and using technology, automation and AI-enabled tools to improve reporting quality, controls and finance processes. In this role you will: Leading month-end and year-end close processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reporting timetables. Preparing accurate and timely management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting analysis. Maintaining general ledger integrity and ensuring financial results are complete, accurate and supported by appropriate reconciliations and documentation. Supporting audits and preparing statutory and compliance reporting, including BAS, FBT, payroll tax and other regulatory requirements relevant to a care and NDIS-focused environment. Assisting in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, funding-related requirements and statutory obligations. Partnering with operational and business leaders to provide financial and commercial insights, investigate variances, analyse drivers of profitability and margin, and support informed decision-making. Preparing regular reporting packs and commentary that clearly explain financial performance, risks and opportunities to finance and non-finance stakeholders. Analysing large and complex financial and operational data sets to identify trends, anomalies, drivers of performance and opportunities for improvement. Supporting the annual budget process, periodic forecasts and cash flow forecasting, including analysis against budget and forecast. Driving continuous improvement across reporting, reconciliations, internal controls and finance processes, including better use of Xero, Excel-based models and AI-enabled tools. Contributing to finance transformation initiatives by identifying opportunities to automate manual tasks, improve data quality and strengthen reporting capability. Providing support across the wider finance function and contributing to ad hoc analysis and projects as required. You will bring: CA or CPA qualified. Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline Demonstrated experience in a Senior Accountant, Financial Accountant, Management Accountant or similar role. Strong experience across month-end close, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and compliance. Experience in management reporting, variance analysis and partnering with non-finance stakeholders to support operational decision-making. Exposure to budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting. Strong technical accounting skills, high attention to detail and a well-developed control mindset. Advanced Excel capability, strong working knowledge of Xero, and proven experience analysing large and complex data sets. Demonstrated interest in using technology, automation and AI-enabled tools to improve finance processes, reporting and analysis. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate financial information into clear and practical insights for operational stakeholders. Ability to work autonomously, manage competing deadlines and contribute positively within a growing and evolving business. Experience in disability services, aged care, healthcare or another regulated, operationally complex environment will be highly regarded.
