The Role A senior role leading a small, established civil design team, with responsibility across project delivery, client management and team oversight. You’ll initially manage 3–4 engineers, staying close to the design while also guiding standards and improving how projects are delivered. This position suits someone who enjoys leading from the front, with a mix of technical input, team leadership and client engagement. The Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and supporting professional development Manage project delivery from planning through to completion, coordinating resources and ensuring quality, programme and commercial objectives are achieved Build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders, developing practical and innovative engineering solutions Prepare fee proposals, manage project performance and contribute to the ongoing growth of the business Ensure all designs are delivered in accordance with relevant standards, regulations and industry best practice The Requirements 10 years’ experience in civil engineering within urban/land development Strong design background across roads, drainage and earthworks Proven experience leading small to mid-sized teams Confident managing clients and contributing to ongoing work streams Comfortable remaining hands-on while overseeing team output Experience with 12D and AutoCAD Interest in improving processes and contributing to design standards Solid understanding of local authority requirements and Australian standards Full Australian working rights Does this sound like what you're looking for?
