About the Opportunity We are seeking a highly capable Hospital Operations Manager to join our Cannington hospital in Perth, playing a pivotal role in the performance and day-to-day management of a fast-paced, 24/7 emergency hospital. This is a critical operational leadership position where you will have genuine autonomy to shape how the hospital operates day to day, influence leadership decision-making, and drive outcomes that directly impact patient care, team experience, and hospital performance. You will act as the integrator across people, systems, and processes—ensuring the hospital runs efficiently, safely, and cohesively while enabling clinical teams to focus on delivering exceptional care. This is a dynamic, hands-on role requiring flexibility to support a 24/7 operational environment. Working closely with the Hospital Administrator and Leadership Team, you will translate strategy into execution, drive operational discipline, and continuously elevate performance standards - at scale within a growing national organisation. Key Responsibilities Lead the effective day-to-day operation of the hospital, ensuring efficiency, safety, and consistency Identify, resolve, and proactively prevent operational inefficiencies and bottlenecks Oversee workforce capacity, including roster alignment, sustainability, and operational coverage Ensure all facilities, systems, and equipment are fully operational, compliant, and fit-for-purpose Lead and deliver continuous improvement initiatives and operational projects Support, coach, and enable leaders to strengthen execution and accountability Drive WHS, compliance, and risk management to the highest standard About You Minimum 7 years’ experience in operations leadership within fast-paced, complex environments (essential) Demonstrated success in delivering outcomes in high-pressure, dynamic operational settings Strong operational acumen with a hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset Excellent organisational capability and ability to manage competing priorities Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills High emotional intelligence with the ability to influence across teams Experience operating within a 24/7 environment (highly regarded) Background in healthcare, veterinary, or similarly complex service environments (advantageous) Why Join AEA?
