About the role: We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Allied Health Educator to join our team on a 9-month fixed-term basis to cover parental leave. This role offers flexibility of up to 0.8 FTE, with flexible working arrangements available. Applicants must be available on Mondays and Tuesdays. This opportunity is ideal for a Occupational Therapist, or Physiotherapist who is enthusiastic about clinical education, mentoring, and professional development within the aged care sector. As an Allied Health Educator, you will: Develop, deliver, and coordinate clinical education programs that support best-practice care Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and evidence-based practices Align education initiatives with organisational development needs Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth This role involves travel between metro sites to deliver clinical training. Occasional rural or remote travel may also be required and will be negotiated as needed. Key Responsibilities: Develop, coordinate, and facilitate clinical education programs Provide on-the-job training, mentoring, and competency assessments Support professional development and capability-building programs Ensure compliance with aged care regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies Implement and manage education systems, audits, and reporting processes Assist with workforce development planning to support clinical excellence Key Requirements: Significant clinical experience, preferably within aged care or acute care settings Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Physiotherapist Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Strong background in developing and delivering clinical education programs Experience mentoring, coaching, and supporting clinical teams Sound knowledge of aged care funding models (AN-ACC, Mandatory National Quality Indicator Program, Aged Care Quality Standards, and SIRS) Understanding of adult learning principles and competency-based assessment Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills As a valued member of our team, you’ll enjoy: Competitive hourly rate of $56.23 Salary packaging of up to $18,550 per annum – tax free, increasing your take-home pay Discounts on private health insurance Access to our Employee Assistance Program, including free counselling services Ongoing professional development and training A supportive, purpose-driven team culture This is a fantastic opportunity to support and empower nursing staff while covering parental leave in a meaningful and rewarding role.
