They’re known for practical project delivery, strong field leadership and safely delivering technically challenging infrastructure projects. With a solid pipeline of upcoming work nationally, they’re continuing to grow their delivery teams across multiple states. The Gig Based on a FIFO roster across Victoria and Tasmania, this role will support the delivery of a major HDD shore crossing package as part of a nationally significant renewable energy infrastructure project. Working closely with Project Managers, Supervisors and the broader project team, you’ll help drive day-to-day construction activities across active HDD and trenchless work fronts. This is a hands-on senior engineering role suited to someone who enjoys being close to the works rather than sitting behind a desk. You’ll oversee construction planning, sequencing, work packs, RFIs, QA documentation, subcontractor coordination and progress tracking while helping keep works aligned to program. The role would suit a Senior Project Engineer coming from HDD, trenchless, pipelines, drilling, piling or broader heavy civil infrastructure backgrounds. Strong contractor-side experience and the ability to lead teams across complex construction environments will be highly valued. You will be trusted with: Leading day-to-day engineering coordination across active HDD and trenchless work fronts Managing RFIs, TQs and technical documentation throughout project delivery phases Supporting construction planning, sequencing and site delivery activities Coordinating subcontractors, supervisors and multidisciplinary construction interfaces Tracking project progress against program, production targets and delivery timeframes Assisting with QA documentation, ITPs, as-builts and project closeout requirements Supporting commercial reporting, forecasting and project cost tracking activities Liaising closely with supervisors, drilling crews and construction personnel on site Participating in permit processes, safety planning and project compliance activities Supporting HDD activities including bore planning, drilling operations and pullback coordination What’s in your toolbox? Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree with strong field delivery experience Experience across HDD, trenchless, drilling, pipelines or heavy civil infrastructure projects Strong understanding of contractor-side construction and engineering environments Ability to lead engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary construction teams Experience managing QA documentation, RFIs, TQs and engineering reporting requirements Strong planning, communication and problem-solving capability within complex project environments You’re the kind of person who enjoys being close to the works, leading teams through technically challenging delivery environments and working closely with supervisors and crews to keep projects moving.
