Tandoori Taj Indian Restaurant is currently seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our growing team in Hervey Bay. We are a well-established and busy restaurant known for delivering authentic Indian cuisine and exceptional customer service to both locals and tourists. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated chef who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and takes pride in preparing high-quality food using traditional Indian flavours and cooking techniques. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes including curries, tandoori items, naan breads, and entrees Manage food preparation and kitchen operations during service periods Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies Maintain cleanliness and comply with food safety and hygiene standards Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth operations Assist with menu planning and introducing new dishes where required Skills and Experience Required Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Chef Experience in Indian cuisine is highly preferred Strong knowledge of traditional Indian spices, recipes, and cooking methods Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy restaurant environment Strong teamwork and communication skills Relevant commercial cookery qualifications will be highly regarded What We Offer Full-time stable employment Competitive salary package based on experience Friendly and supportive workplace Opportunity to grow within an established restaurant Work in a beautiful coastal location in Hervey Bay
