About the Role Seaforth Corporation is seeking an experienced full-time Motel Manager to elevate our service standards and drive profitability at our Maryborough location. This hands-on leadership role focuses on delivering an outstanding guest experience through exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and meticulous property maintenance. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and supervise housekeeping to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness across all rooms, veranda, laundry, and linen areas. Manage and carry out property maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, carpentry work, tiling, and general upkeep to ensure the property is maintained to impeccable standards. Maintain gardens, hedges, and outdoor areas to provide a welcoming environment. Manage ordering and inventory of linen, amenities, and cleaning supplies. Monitor occupancy rates, track expenses, and implement effective cost control measures. Lead, supervise, and inspire the team, manage performance, onboarding, and rostering, and foster a positive work culture. Assist with reservations, check-ins and check-outs, and provide guests with local tourism information while delivering excellent customer service. Address guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally, and manage review feedback. Manage after-hours check-ins as required. The manager must live within a 3km radius and preferably reside on-site for 4–5 years. Must be willing to relocate to other motel sites within Australia if required, while maintaining residence within a 5km radius and preferably on-site. Ensure all operations comply with occupational health and safety regulations. Qualifications and Skills: Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a high-traffic hotel or motel in Australia or New Zealand, in a Housekeeping Supervisor role or higher. Experience in property repairs, carpentry, tiling, or general construction/maintenance work is required. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage staff and interact with guests. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask. High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining top standards of cleanliness, service, and property presentation. Proficient with computer systems including reservation and property management software (e.g. Siteminder, Excel). Knowledge of OH&S compliance requirements. Must be legally eligible to work in Australia or willing to relocate long-term (sponsorship available for the right candidate). References from previous employers are essential.
