Job Description Endava Australia is strengthening how architecture supports consulting-led growth, pre-sales and delivery confidence. This role is for a client-facing architecture leader who wants to be close to clients and opportunities, shape meaningful work and build the architecture capability needed to deliver it well. The opportunity We are seeking a Head of Architecture to play a hands-on, market-facing role in shaping and winning complex technology work for Endava Australia. The role blends pre-sales and client advisory, solution shaping, delivery mobilisation and architecture capability building. Working with Client Partners, Sales, Commercial, Delivery and Engineering leadership, you will qualify opportunities, shape solution options, guide estimates and bring technical confidence to senior client conversations. This is not a quota-carrying sales role, but you will be central to helping Endava win the right work by bringing architecture credibility, practical solution judgement and delivery awareness to the sales process. Alongside this market-facing work, you will help grow architecture capability across Australia through coaching, standards and practical review patterns that make architecture easier to apply in real engagements. Where you will have impact You will be close to clients and opportunities from the earliest stages, helping identify the problem to solve, shaping credible solution options and explaining the trade-offs clearly to both technical and business stakeholders. You will bring the architecture judgement needed to turn ambition into proposals, proposals into delivery plans and delivery plans into successful outcomes. You will also help build the architecture community itself: coaching architects, strengthening standards, supporting quality reviews and creating practical ways for architecture to connect into sales, delivery and engineering leadership. The role is designed for someone who enjoys consulting: working with clients, shaping solutions, supporting sales conversations and helping delivery teams start with a clear technical direction. Responsibilities Shape pre-sales architecture: lead architecture input into discovery, qualification, proposals and solution strategy. Support winning the right work: partner with Client Partners and Sales to shape compelling, credible and commercially realistic technical solutions. Guide solution direction: translate client goals and constraints into practical architecture options, trade-offs and delivery-ready recommendations. Bring technical confidence to proposals: support estimates, assumptions, solution narratives and delivery approaches for major opportunities. Advise senior clients: build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and represent Endava with clarity and confidence. Support delivery mobilisation: ensure architecture decisions are clear enough for delivery teams to plan, mobilise and execute with confidence. Strengthen architecture capability: build standards, review patterns and reusable approaches that make architecture more consistent and effective. Coach and develop architects: support professional growth, capability uplift and stronger architecture practice across Australia. Support complex engagements: provide architecture guidance where delivery teams need additional technical direction or assurance. Connect architecture with commercial reality: help shape solutions that are technically sound, executable and aligned to commercial commitments.
