About the Role This position within the Risk & Operations function (8-10 years’ experience), supports the proactive and effective delivery of risk and compliance activities within the Australian practice. The internal title will be "Risk & Operations Advisor". The Risk & Operations team has national responsibility for several key functions, including risk and compliance support for business functions and general corporate matters. This role will contribute to the delivery of a robust and efficient platform to support the continued growth of the Australian practice and enhance operational effectiveness. What You’ll Do Reporting to the Senior Manager, Risk & Operations, and as a member of the Risk & Operations team, the role will support efforts to drive quality, proactive risk management and compliance across the national business and corporate teams, including the following responsibilities: Support risk and compliance activities, including the maintenance of various compliance obligations Provide timely and effective advice to FTI’s client facing professionals and corporate teams in relation to risk & compliance matters, including review of RFPs and client contracts Collaborate closely with the APAC legal team to support the business and develop templates that comply with company policies and Australian laws Contribute to compliance management in relation to licenced or registrable activities (AFSL and other) Update and maintain relevant corporate risk policies and procedures for the Australian practice in accordance with applicable laws and regulations Communicate in various forums in relation to risk & compliance matters including delivery of training Support key operational / leadership reporting, meetings and forums Contribute to ad hoc projects to drive process improvements and enhance efficiencies. How You’ll Grow The role will provide the ability to operate across a range of different business functions and liaise with senior management within a national setting, with exposure to staff at all levels, within a proactive and collaborative Risk & Operations team. What You Will Need to Succeed 5-8 years risk and compliance experience within a professional services environment Degree in Law, Commerce, Accounting, Business or risk and compliance certifications preferred but not essential (operational experience desirable but not essential) Strong knowledge and awareness of risk and compliance best practices and frameworks Working knowledge of AFSL compliance environment and requirements Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships at all levels Excellent written communication skills Strong work ethic, integrity and high level of professionalism Can-do attitude with willingness to learn and grow with the team Willingness to travel if necessary Our Benefits Apart from the well-structured career path and excellent team environment, our employees enjoy a variety of perks and benefits. Compensation Minimum Pay: $123,000.00 Maximum Pay: $140,000.00 Compensation Disclosure: The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role and is inclusive of Superannuation. Determination of actual salary is based on a combination of relevant factors such as market considerations, business needs, and an individual’s location, skills, level of experience and qualifications.
