Description Equis Australia is leading Australia’s clean energy transition, with an immediate focus on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) followed by Wind and Solar farm developments. Equis’s first BESS project at Melbourne Renewable Energy Hub has commenced commercial operation with Calala NSW BESS well advanced through construction. The Energy Markets team are critical to operating these assets and working with other Equis teams to determine which assets, technology and regions will be the next projects to be delivered across the large development pipeline. Requirements What We're Looking For Experience 2 years working in the Australian NEM or a comparable electricity market. Hands-on experience analysing dispatch outcomes, price formation and system events. Solid understanding of NEM fundamentals and market drivers. Technical Skills Strong Python or SQL skills for data analysis. Experience with AEMO market data (MMS / NEMWeb). Comfortable handling large time-series datasets. Proficiency with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau or similar). Comfortable leveraging AI and machine learning tools to enhance analytical workflows and uncover deeper market insights. Highly Desirable Experience in energy trading, market operations or trading analytics. Understanding of network constraints and dispatch mechanics. Experience analysing battery storage or renewable generation performance. Highly analytical and genuinely curious about markets. Able to cut through complexity and communicate clearly to a trading audience. Energised by a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
