The Role Our client in the almond processing industry is seeking Almond Handlers to join their operations team in Carwarp, VIC. This is a physically active, hands-on role suited to candidates who enjoy outdoor work and are comfortable working in hot, dusty conditions. You will assist with a variety of operational duties across the almond handling site, including tarping, machinery operation, bunker maintenance, drying operations, and general labouring tasks. Flexibility is essential, as duties may change daily based on operational needs across the site. Key Responsibilities You will support the safe and efficient handling, storage, and processing of almonds while assisting with site maintenance and operational tasks throughout the season. Fold, repair, and maintain tarps and wooden bins Assist with tarping and sealing almond bunkers Support almond drying operations and monitor drying processes Operate almond drying machinery safely and efficiently Operate tractors to transport almond product around the site Undertake basic machinery maintenance tasks as required Assist with weighbridge operations and site logistics Perform clean-up and general labouring duties across the facility Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment Carry out additional site duties as directed by management Benefits Competitive pay rate of $34.11 per hour plus penalty rates Seasonal employment with duration dependent on operational needs Approximately 40 hours per week with overtime opportunities during peak periods Full on-site training provided Opportunity to gain experience in almond and agricultural processing operations Variety of practical outdoor work and machinery-related duties Team-oriented and safety-focused workplace environment Your Skills & Experience Physically fit and capable of manual labour in outdoor environments Reliable, punctual, and flexible with varying shift start times Previous experience in grain, rice, pulses, nuts, or agricultural operations highly regarded Safe work mindset and commitment to workplace safety procedures Ability to work in hot, dusty, and physically demanding conditions Comfortable operating around machinery and industrial equipment Willingness to undertake a variety of duties as required Own reliable transport to and from work required Ability to work effectively within a team environment Choose Agri Labour Australia Agri Labour Australia is an award-winning Australian company with clients in every State and Territory.
