If feedlots and hands-on work are familiar territory to you, and you're handy on the tools or welder, keep reading. We're looking for a practical, reliable Maintenance / Mill Hand to join a family-run feedlot operation near Roma. This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety and suits someone who enjoys being involved across all areas of the operation. You'll be involved across the feedlot and feed mill, helping keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. What You'll Be Doing Mixing feed rations Bunk calling (reading bunks and adjusting feed accordingly) Daily rationing and feed allocation Operating mill and feed equipment General feedlot and machinery maintenance Welding and repair work Pen maintenance and repairs Cleaning bunks and feed areas General upkeep around the operation What We're Looking For Previous feedlot or mill experience preferred If you’re clean, organised and a bit OCD about keeping things right, this role will suit you well Experience with bunk calling Welding ability required Mechanically minded and handy with repairs Reliable, practical and self-motivated Able to work independently and within a team Physically fit and capable of hands-on work Someone who takes pride in keeping things running properly What's On Offer ✔ $35-$38/hr depending on experience ✔ Accommodation available ✔ Electricity included up to $1,200 per quarter ✔ Long-term opportunity with a good crew ✔ Immediate start available To apply or discuss the role further, please call Fiona on 0447 650 143.
