Company: Treemendous Tree Care Location: Sydney 2115 Salary: $80,000.00 plus superannuation. Job Description: Treemendous Tree Care is seeking a skilled Arborist to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining the health and aesthetics of trees and landscaping in our community. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in arboriculture, with a focus on practical experience and a commitment to sustainable practices. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain seedbeds and growing sites to support healthy plant growth. Propagate and plant a variety of flora, including trees, bushes, hedges, flowers, and bulbs. Establish and nurture lawn areas by spreading topsoil, planting grass, and laying instant turf. Maintain landscaped areas through weeding, trimming, fertilizing, watering, and mowing. Prune trees and hedges to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal, utilizing appropriate support and protection devices. Develop landscape plans and drawings, select suitable materials and plants, and schedule construction activities. Implement both hardscape and softscape installations, including gravel and paved areas, walls, fences, pergolas, ponds, barbecues, and garden furniture. Assess the condition of trees to determine necessary treatments, including lopping limbs and shaping branches with chainsaws and handsaws. Manage pest and disease control through appropriate spraying and dusting of plants and trees, and safely fell diseased trees. Qualifications: At least two years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications. Additional on-the-job training may be required in certain cases. Skills and Attributes: Strong knowledge of horticultural practices and tree care. Proficient in the use of arboricultural tools and equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
