This role suits a deeply technical database specialist comfortable working in a high-tech delivery environment across enterprise-scale modernisation programs. What you'll be doing Lead advisory and delivery work across Oracle-heavy enterprise database environments. Review existing relational database estates and identify practical options to improve reliability, performance and scalability. Lead cloud database migration planning and delivery. Advise on data models, SQL design, procedural logic, indexing, integration dependencies and technical risk. Work with application, infrastructure and data teams to manage dependencies across complex enterprise systems. Provide technical leadership, coaching and practical guidance to client-side technical teams. Turn complex database issues into clear recommendations for technical leaders and business stakeholders. Designing modern, scalable, secure cloud-native enterprise solutions (ideally AWS). What you'll bring Strong Oracle database experience across architecture, engineering, performance, resilience and enterprise-scale environments. Experience moving or re-engineering legacy relational database workloads into more scalable platform environments. Background in enterprise database transformation, including assessment, solution design, delivery planning and risk management. Working knowledge of relational database platform conversion, including Oracle and other enterprise database technologies. Experience architecting complex data structures so they better support modern applications, integrations and long-term maintainability.
