Effective project and outage delivery plays a critical role in maintaining plant reliability, availability and long-term operational performance. About You: As our Projects & Outage Manager, you will lead the planning and delivery of a portfolio of capital projects and major outage programs at Vales Point Power Station. This role is responsible for ensuring projects and outages are delivered safely, efficiently and in alignment with business objectives, while strengthening governance, stakeholder engagement and operational performance. Working closely with senior leaders across the business, you will establish and embed robust project and outage management frameworks, guide long-term program planning, and lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering complex work across the station. What You'll Do: Provide leadership across the planning and delivery of capital projects and planned outages, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient execution from initiation through to close-out. Develop and implement robust project and outage governance, strategies, procedures and standards to support consistent and high-quality project delivery. Oversee the development of project scopes, schedules, budgets and risk management strategies to ensure projects and outages are delivered safely, on time and within budget. Provide leadership and direction to project and outage personnel, building capability, accountability and collaboration across the team. Work closely with operations, maintenance and senior leaders to coordinate work programs and ensure projects and outages are integrated with operational priorities. Establish and support the Project & Outage Steering Committee to ensure senior stakeholders remain informed and aligned on project progress, priorities and risks. Monitor budgets, forecasts and financial performance while supporting commercial strategies that optimise value and delivery outcomes. Apply structured risk management practices and ensure contractors and suppliers are managed in accordance with Delta's contract management procedures. What You'll Bring: You will bring significant experience delivering complex capital projects, programs or major outages within power generation, construction or heavy industry environments. You will ideally hold tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline, supported by strong leadership and project delivery capability. You will also demonstrate: Proven leadership in project, program or outage management, including strong governance and structured delivery practices Strong commercial and financial capability, including budget management, forecasting and contract oversight Extensive experience coordinating complex work programs across multidisciplinary operational environments Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and translate complex issues into practical outcomes Strong organisational capability and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Formal Project Management qualifications and experience in continuous improvement, Lean or Six Sigma environments will be highly regarded.
