Location: Spearwood WA Employment Type: Casual / ongoing shifts Shift Availability Required: Mondays: 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 11:00am ongoing We are currently seeking experienced, reliable and compassionate Multiskilled Support Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred support to an older female participant living in Spearwood. This role is best suited to support workers who are confident with complex physical support needs, personal care, hoist transfers, continence care, pressure care and following detailed care plans. About the Role The participant requires support within her home environment with daily routines, personal care, mobility, nutrition, medication assistance, emotional reassurance and ongoing safety monitoring. Duties may include: Full personal care, including showering, grooming and dressing Full hoist transfers Wheelchair positioning and mobility support Continence support, including catheter care in line with care plan requirements Bowel care support in line with the participant’s care plan Pressure area care and skin integrity checks Meal preparation and mealtime assistance Supporting hydration and nutritional supplements Medication assistance Documentation of care tasks, intake and relevant observations Providing calm communication, reassurance and emotional support Following all manual handling, infection control and care plan requirements About You We are looking for someone who is respectful, patient, attentive and confident working with participants who have high physical support needs. The ideal applicant will be able to work calmly, maintain dignity and privacy, and communicate clearly throughout all care tasks, particularly during transfers and personal care. Essential Requirements Applicants must have: Previous disability support, aged care or complex care experience Confidence providing high-level personal care Manual handling experience Experience using a full hoist, or willingness to be trained Ability to follow detailed care plans and complete documentation Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain Current First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain Reliable transport A respectful, calm and person-centred approach Highly Regarded Experience Experience in the following areas will be highly regarded: Spinal cord injury Paraplegia Wheelchair support Full hoist transfers Two-person transfers Catheter care Bowel care Pressure care Skin integrity monitoring Supporting participants with anxiety or low mood Available Shifts We are currently recruiting for the following ongoing shifts: Monday: 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 11:00am ongoing Please include your availability when applying.
