We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Head Housekeeper to join our team on a full-time basis and oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department. Why You'll Love This Role: Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum superannuation Location: Byron Bay, NSW 2481 Full-time, ongoing position Work within a professional and supportive hospitality environment Opportunity to join a reputable and established Byron Bay hotel Ongoing training and career development opportunities Key Responsibilities: Determine daily housekeeping work requirements and allocate duties to housekeeping staff to ensure efficient room turnover and presentation standards Supervise and inspect guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities to ensure compliance with hotel cleanliness, hygiene, and quality standards Coordinate housekeeping activities with hotel management and front office staff to support smooth guest arrivals and departures Maintain staff attendance records, prepare rosters, and coordinate leave schedules Implement and enforce workplace health and safety (WHS) policies and housekeeping procedures Monitor the performance of the housekeeping department and recommend operational improvements where required Train, mentor, and support housekeeping staff to maintain high service standards Address and resolve staff concerns and operational issues professionally and effectively Monitor and control inventory levels of linen, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities Assist with reception or front office duties during peak operational periods where required Ensure housekeeping operations are conducted efficiently and in accordance with hotel policies and procedures What We're Looking For: Relevant qualification in hospitality or a related field, or equivalent industry experience Minimum 1 year of relevant housekeeping experience, including supervisory responsibilities Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and hotel operations Demonstrated leadership and team management capability Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence Reliable, professional, and team-oriented attitude How to Apply: 11 Recruitment is assisting Lord Byron Hotel with this recruitment process.
