About the Business Masala Darbar is a well-established Indian restaurant servicing the Northern Rivers region, offering authentic Indian cuisine including curries, biryanis, tandoori dishes, and freshly baked naan for dine-in, takeaway, and delivery customers. The business has built a strong local reputation for quality food and consistent service. We are seeking a full time Cook to join our business. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a range of Indian dishes including curries, biryanis, tandoori meats, and breads Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation across all dishes Assist in menu planning and development of seasonal or new menu items Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control Maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with food safety standards Work efficiently in a high-demand, fast-paced kitchen environment Follow workplace health and safety procedures Skills & Experience Minimum 1–2 years’ experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen Experience in Indian cuisine preferred Relevant qualification (Cert III/IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent) Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team Strong time management and organisational skills If this sounds like you, please submit your resume.
