Contract until 15 June 2027 with a possibility of extension Hourly pay rate of $ 87.10/hr super Working 7 hours / day and 35 hours / week Hybrid work arrangement (office located in Parramatta) Purpose of the role: You will be responsible to lead the delivery of complex flood recovery and environmental remediation projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and aligned with government priorities. The role is responsible for managing contractors, mitigating risks, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and providing strategic oversight to support successful program delivery and community recovery outcomes. Key Accountabilities: Deliver complex flood recovery and environmental clean-up projects on time, within budget, and aligned with Government priorities. Manage contractor delivery of on-ground works, including performance, risk, issue resolution, and compliance. Provide strategic oversight across multiple projects to ensure quality, governance, consistency, and successful delivery. Analyse project data to monitor performance, support decision-making, and provide accurate reporting and briefings. Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure effective project delivery. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, councils, and partner agencies. Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and accountable culture. Represent the program in stakeholder forums and provide clear, evidence-based advice. Deliver environmental clean-up projects in fast-paced environments with changing priorities. Manage multiple contractors and stakeholders across concurrent projects while meeting delivery deadlines. Make sound and timely decisions in situations with incomplete or changing information. Maintain accurate project data to support reporting, governance, and decision-making. Influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes in complex and challenging environments. Essential requirements: Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects or programs, ideally involving contractor management and on-ground works. Strong project management skills across planning, delivery, governance, risk and reporting. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic, out-focused environment. Highly developed analytical and reporting skills, including the ability to translate data into clear actionable insights and high-quality reports. Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across in private and/or government sectors, contractors and delivery partners. Ability to work independently, show initiative and lead delivery outcomes. Experience in disaster recovery, infrastructure or environmental program delivery (desirable). Knowledge of NSW emergency management arrangements (desirable). Capacity to travel to regional locations as required.
